Driver Identity & Travel Verification Requirements

1. Required From All Renters (U.S. & International)

The following documents are required from every renter, regardless of nationality or residency:

• Primary Government-Issued Photo ID (Mandatory)
  - U.S. renters: Valid state-issued driver’s license
  - International renters: Valid passport (Mandatory)


• Second Form of ID
  (National ID, international ID, student/work ID, or similar)


• Round-Trip or Confirmed Onward Departure Flight Ticket
  - A confirmed flight into and out of the U.S. is required
  - One-way outbound departure is accepted as long as exit from the U.S. is confirmed


• Hotel or Accommodation Confirmation
  Must display the renter’s full legal name


• Proof of Residential Address
  (Utility bill, electricity bill, bank statement, or active lease - issued within the last 60 days)
  If residing with family or another household member: A household bill under their name is accepted if you also provide any document showing your name at the same address (e.g., bank letter, insurance document, government correspondence, or official mail).

2. Additional Requirements — U.S. Residents Only

• Physical Credit Card (Mandatory)
  - Must be under the primary driver’s legal name
  - No prepaid or virtual cards accepted
  - If the primary driver is not the cardholder, the reservation may be declined


• Proof of Existing Personal Auto Insurance (Mandatory)
  Active policy showing valid coverage

3. Additional Requirements — International Renters Only

• Passport (Mandatory) - must be valid for the full travel period
• International Driving Permit (IDP) - required only if your driver’s license is not in English

4. Additional Driver Verification

Family Member - Same Household spouse • parent • son • daughter

• Government-issued ID + Second Form of ID
• Proof of U.S. auto insurance - Mandatory for U.S. residents
  ⚠️ If valid insurance is not provided, ABC AUTOCARS reserves the right to remove the driver from the reservation or cancel the reservation entirely, at its discretion.
• No separate flight, hotel, or address proof required

Non-Family / Different Household friend • colleague • boyfriend/girlfriend • distant relative

Not sharing the same address as the primary driver.

• Separate flight ticket
• Separate hotel/accommodation confirmation (if not traveling together)
• Separate proof of residential address
• Proof of U.S. auto insurance (mandatory for U.S. residents)
• Deposit impact: Each approved additional driver may increase the required refundable security deposit.

5. Final Verification & Refundable Deposit Notice

All required documentation must be submitted and approved before the reservation start date.

Refundable Deposit:
For security reasons, each additional driver may increase the refundable security deposit, based on driver profile, residency, and risk evaluation. The final deposit amount is confirmed only after verification is completed.
