Age requirements for drivers

Your age and the country where your booking originates determine if you’re eligible to drive on ABC AUTOCARS, if you must pay a young driver fee, and if you can book high-value vehicles.

Driving age in the United States

You must be 25 or older to book a car in the US. We apply the following additional age requirements, vehicle restrictions, and fees based on your age at the time you book a car , not the age you’ll be when the booking takes place.

You must be 25 or older to book a car with a total market value of more than $20.000
You must be 27 or older to book a car with a total market value of $45,000 to $85,000
You must be 30 or older and need to be in possession of a driver's license for at least 5 years to book a car with a total market value of more than $85,000

Additional information for young drivers in the US

You can’t decline a protection plan
If you are 21 years old you can upload your documents
If you’re 21–24, you’ll pay a minimum Young driver fee of $50/day
If you're 21-24, you''ll pay additional deposit
